mirada leads CI+ developments

Building upon our MHEG5 experience in the UK, we have embraced the CI+ standard since its publication and presentation on our stand at last year's IBC. After 6 weeks of intense work in collaboration with Smardtv and Nagra, we showed one of the very first CAM based surfers. The performance, operator look (based upon the Nagra Media Guide) and interoperability have surprised more than one of our customers.

This early success attracted a lot of attention and we are pleased to say that we are currently working on two new projects (EPG and VOD application) this time driven by two digital TV operators with many more in the pipeline. Another VoD IPTV win for mirada

We are excited to be working with a major force in the IPTV sector on the creation of advanced IPTV applications for their 1.6 Million IPTV users in Europe. As part of the agreement we will support and maintain the client's video-on-demand service and also work on the development of new applications.

mirada partners with Condè Nast

In Italy, we have recently developed two websites for publishing heavyweight Condè Nast, the global fashion lifestyle publishing company which will allow users to browse through localised content. www.style.it/partner/isolabellasambuca "Isolabella Sambuca" is a portal build on behalf of Condè Nast's client Illva Saronno to support the re-launch of the product Sambuca Isolabella. The site offers information on events, bars and restaurant for Italy, Netherlands and the UK.

www.style.it/storelocator The Store Locator is a tool created for Condè Nast which allows users to find the nearest store by searching using product category, brand, region or city. The result page includes the store's description, product images and maps. It also enables brands to launch new products and alert consumers to specific promotions through interactive banners and offers catalogues.

mirada built these sites in Flash with a complete bespoke content management system (CMS) on the back end in order to give Condè Nast the ability to manage and update each and every single aspect of Isolabella and Store Locator with little effort. The whole environment can be controlled via the CMS.
These projects for Condè Nast further illustrate the ways mirada is working with big brands internationally to deliver bespoke services and connect them with consumers in an interactive environment, in this case online. For more information, please visit

mirada takes interactive TV ads to Uruguay  

Uruguayan Cable Operator TCC launched its first interactive ads service with mirada's TVAds solution on Saeta Canal 10. This is very exciting news for us as this is the very first interactive advertising service in Latin America! This particular service is based on the MHP technology with middleware from Irdeto. The service will be available on TCC's digital cable platform (DVB-C) and the digital terrestrial platform (DVB-T) of SAETA Canal 10.

mirada's TVAds have been designed to become the global interactive advertising solution to enable the generation of iAds and interactive services for digital receivers independent of the middleware and platform. With this new service, campaigns can be executed effortlessly even without specific technical knowledge reducing time to market significantly.
