Mexican telecoms operator and internet service provider AXTEL has just entered the IPTV pay-TV market with new state of the art hybrid services which combine IPTV broadcast channels, on-demand (VoD, time-shift and network PVR) and interactive content via IP with access to free-to-air DTT broadcasts channels. For these new hybrid services, AXTEL selected to deploy mirada´s Navi solution, in collaboration with Ericsson, and successfully launched the service at the end of January. Navi, mirada´s next generation solution, is a complete set of interactive navigational services ported on SVG, providing AXTEL TV subscribers with a new enjoyable TV experience (TV sin Horarios), including timeshift features such as restart (access to content from the beginning), pause, or record the programs desired.
This new successful deployment of mirada’s product continues mirada´s planned expansion intoLatin America, adding yet another important operator to the list of mirada’s deployed solutions in the region.
