Telefónica Peru has launched Movistar Go, web application for content streaming with multiple features based on Iris solution by Mirada PLC, expert in audiovisual technology and software development for digital TV. New components are already available for Telefonia Peru TV subscribers.
Content streaming and extended information from your PC
Movistar GO enables their users to enjoy a wide variety of multimedia content through a video streaming platform in the form of a browser-based application. Registered users can access a catalogue of On Demand and Linear content. Mirada’s Iris modules enabled the integration with external content providers .
Performed by Mirada full integration of Movistar Go platform with external metadata database enables the visualization of extended information for all available On Demand and linear TV contents.
Advanced search and social TV
Movistar Go enables users to quickly find desired content in the whole On Demand and Live catalogue. This advanced search technology provided by Mirada offers a whole range of options to visualize content, taking into account programmed transmissions for this particular content on all of the channels where it will be available.
Another feature to be found in Telefonica’s web application is the option to share content in the most popular social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Picasa.
These services have been selected by Telefonica Peru from the modular Iris solution, focused on user experience and usability. Iris also includes other services such as personalized recommendations, virtual channels, weekly planner, magazines and multiscreen platform with apps for smartphones and tablets and OTT services.
