What you will be doing:

You will join our Marketing Department, where you will be doing many different things. You will work closely with the rest of the team, as well as with Presales, UX, HR, Sales, Product and Management teams, and actively participate in the decision-making process. We would love a talented colleague who loves working as a part of a team, but has the capacity to work independently when needed. You should be a fast learner with a curious mind, as after some time you will be expected to have a deep understanding of our business, the technology that runs our products and be able to communicate it effectively through diverse media. We expect you to bring fresh ideas and initiatives to new projects.

As our Content Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • Create content for diverse audiences, such as the TV and technology industry, investors and existing to future employees.
  • Participate in the creation of marketing plans, communication strategies and building of digital campaigns for diverse audiences.
  • Generate press releases, presentations, product sheets, social media posts, seasonal campaigns, internal blog posts, promotional materials, sales documentation and more, working closely with many different teams within the company.
  • Copywrite for the website, mailings, banners, promotional images, flyers, brochures and more, working closely with our graphic designer.
  • Be in charge of our corporate website, updating product pages, publishing news and job posts, doing regular maintenance check ups and keeping every bit of it in perfect shape, in collaboration with the technical team (but you will be in charge of the lion share of the editing in HTML).
  • Track and register campaign data to later analyse the performance of our marketing activities, and generate concise, insightful reports (with the help of UTM tracking and Google Analytics, among other tools).
  • Coordinate lead generation campaigns with our global sales team.
  • Translate whitepapers, presentations and other important documents from Spanish to English.
  • Participate in many other tasks and projects that our busy marketing team works on…

What we require:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time experience in a similar position.
  • Native or bilingual level of English (it will be your working language, so please don’t apply if you don’t meet this requirement).
  • Experience creating content for diverse audiences in a professional environment.
  • Experience creating technology-related content and effectively communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working to deadlines, multitasking and the capacity to adapt to last minute changes.
  • Very good knowledge and proven experience working with Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress or their equivalents.
  • Strategically-oriented, analytically minded with the capacity to generate added value proposals and draw data-based conclusions.
  • Team-player, with cooperative attitude and solid work ethic.
  • Creativity and willingness to try new things and deliver nothing but excellence.

The following would be very welcome:
  • Experience with B2B technological companies
  • Advanced HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Having a personal blog or similar

A typical day in Marketing
Heather, Marketing Specialist
  • Being part of the small yet mighty Marketing team at Mirada is nothing short of an adventure! As we’re all working from home due to COVID-19, our day starts with a team video catch up to discuss the tasks we’ll be working on today and comment on the progress with our upcoming whitepaper campaign… and a guest appearance from my cat!
  • We’ve now entered summer working hours, so it’s time to get busy as there’s lots to do. I log into WordPress to prepare the home module in HTML for the whitepaper promotion on Mirada’s website. I have to readjust the title as it’s slightly overlapping the cool new image that Alex, the team’s Graphic Designer, has prepared.
  • Once that’s sorted, I get in touch with our contact at the external company promoting the whitepaper to check he’s received the promo banners and that the clicks through to our website are being recorded correctly in Google Analytics. It’s important to keep track of each campaign to determine the ROI of everything we do and to keep Marjorie (our Events & Communication Coordinator) happy with her reports 😉
  • Just as I’m about to schedule the mailings to operators and broadcasters around the world, we receive an urgent request from Management to prepare a presentation for an investors evening in two days’ time! After a quick brainstorm with the team, I work alongside Alex to include all the important information and to make sure it is displayed as clearly and beautifully as possible.
  • While we wait for feedback, I finish scheduling the mailings and publish on social media about how one of our Software Developers has won yet ANOTHER prize in the company’s stay at home competition! Maybe I’ll win next time…
  • Time to check the feedback from our sales team about leads from our last campaign (my guilty pleasure), send an overview to Roszana, Mirada’s VP Marketing, for her meeting with the CEO tomorrow. And with that, the day’s over! ¡Mañana, más!
